Search options are available to subscribed users only.
The keyword search box provides a quick and easy way to search for bibliography. Use keyword search as you would search Google™, Yahoo!™, or any other internet search engine.
Searching bibliography allows you to search across editions, translations, transcriptions, as well as articles and monographs that refer to the manuscripts in the Parker Library. To use the bibliography search, fill in at least one field on the search screen. Fill in more fields to narrow the results.
Manuscript Number
Enter the number of the manuscript as given in the M. R. James Catalogue. To locate the M. R. James number that corresponds to Stanley or T. James designations, use the "Browse by Manuscript Number" feature.
Enter one or more title keywords. Note that this searches only the titles of secondary sources, not the primary texts to which they refer.
Journal Title
To limit your search to articles published in a specific journal, enter all or part of the journal title here.
To limit your search to secondary sources by a particular author or editor, enter a name here. Note that first/given names are abbreviated to initials in the bibliographic entries.
This search operates against the year of publication, expressed as four digits, for secondary scholarship only. For example, enter '1972' to find books, articles, editions and translations published in 1972.
To search the comments for each citation, enter one or more keywords here. For example: "Bridget," "commentaries proverbs," or "Lancelot." Searching for multiple words will call up all entries that contain all of the entered keywords.
